Dilandau Albatou
Zaibach knight and leader of Dragon Slayers
This comely Alseides pilot of Zaibach's forces does not take lightly to insult and injury from enemies. Dilandau commands the Dragon Slayers, an elite squad of mecha soldiers devoted to capturing the Escaflowne. The Dragon Slayers' brutal tactics mesh well with Dilandau's sadistic and troubled personality born of traumatic experiences in the past.
Spoiler!
For those of you who know that Allen's sister disapeared...this is where you find out! Dilandau is soon discovered to be his sister! So heres the real question...id Darth Vader my father?...no ACTUALLY....WHAT DOES HE I MEAN SHE PUT DOWN IN CENSUS?
Just like the Escaflowne's above there are 2 styles...left is te one in the serries, right is movie version....I nlike the right...
Suits name: Alseides
Allen Schezar
Unlike the Escaflowne and the Alseides, the Scherazade
makes it only in the serries...a greaT MS and heres a short history on it...
Although not of Ispano manufacture, the Scherazade is considered a formidable Guymelef mostly because of its pilot, the Knight Caeli Allen Schezar. Its relative agility and Allen's skillful use of the rapier-like sword makes up for its limited weaponry and inability to transform modes or fly.
Knight Caeli of Asturia and pilot of the Guymelef Scherazade
Dashing looks, debonair personality, and devastating finesse in swordsmanship -- Allen would seem to be the epitome of chivalry. His handsome countenance however, belies simmering bitterment and a troubled past with an absent father, deceased mother, and a long-lost sister. His face also has a haunting resemblance to Amano, the track team member Hitomi has a crush on. Even though Allen is one of the Knights Caeli (the elite corps of Asturia knights), King Aston has for some reason stationed him on a frontier outpost near Fanelia's border.
King of Fanelia and the pilot of the Guymelef Escaflowne
The death of Van's father and the disappearance of his older brother left this young warrior prince to rule his small rural kingdom of Fanelia. Before he can attain the throne and ride the legendary Guymelef mecha known as Escaflowne however, he must slay a dragon for its Energist crystal. Although brash and inexperienced early on, he thrusts himself into the forefront of the Gaea War against the Zaibach Empire. This greater struggle eventually leads him to face his own inner turmoil over his family's past and the mysterious girl from the Mystic Moon.
Van Flanel
Van is an excelent swordsman and with his skills combined with Escaflowne he is virtually nstoppable....
Of all the ancient Guymelefs, none invoke as much awe as the Guymelefs built by the Ispano people with Atlantean techniques. This "Ispano White" Guymelef is all the more unique in that it took the Ispano 150 years to manufacture, and it can transform into dragon mode for flying. However, operating the Escaflowne requires a blood pact with the pilot and all the consequences that entails. Van earns the right to pilot the Escaflowne when he extracts a Drag-Energist crystal as part of his pre-coronation ritual.
